By the end of the course, students will have a strong foundation in Illustrator and will be able to create professional-grade digital graphics. Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, etc.) is available for UA students on any device, such as the Information Commons lab computers in the libraries. The course is suitable for beginners with no prior experience in Illustrator, as well as those with some experience who want to improve their skills. Students will learn how to create graphics for web pages and social media, and how to use Illustrator to create marketing materials such as flyers and brochures. The course will also cover the use of Illustrator in the context of graphic design and visual communication. They will learn how to create logos, icons, and other vector graphics, how to use the pen tool to create custom shapes, and how to apply gradients and other effects to their artwork.
